In light of the harsh challenges facing the Gaza Strip as a result of the current situation, SEED and FİELD READY announced the successful implementation of a joint solar energy project aimed at enhancing sustainability and providing alternative energy solutions for the local community.
This project comes as part of the ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of the population and provide sustainable and safe energy sources, especially in light of the severe fuel shortage and frequent power outages that the Strip suffers from. The project aims to provide solar energy needs in refugee camps, which contributes to improving the quality of life for residents and enhancing basic services such as hospitals and schools.
Representatives of the two organizations expressed their pride in this achievement, noting that the project is the result of an effective partnership and collective efforts that have continued for several months. They stressed their commitment to continue working to provide innovative and sustainable solutions that meet the needs of the people of Gaza under the current circumstances.
A SEED official confirmed that:
“This project reflects our belief in the importance of using renewable energy as a means of achieving sustainable development, especially in areas affected by crises. We are committed to achieving a positive and sustainable impact on people’s lives.”
For his part, the representative of the “Velderry” Foundation added:
“Our cooperation with the SEED Foundation reflects our ability to achieve tangible results that meet the needs of the local community, and we hope that this project will be a model for future initiatives.”
It is worth noting that the project was widely welcomed by the local residents, who expressed their gratitude for this initiative that comes as a lifeline amid the worsening crises in the Strip.
The project organizers hope that its success will contribute to attracting more local and international support to implement similar projects that contribute to enhancing the sustainability of resources in Gaza.
